3M3922 Label
3M6922 labels utilize the high-temperature resistant 3M3922 material, recommended for thermal transfer printing applications and compatible with most thermal printers available on the market.
When to choose 3M3922 labels?
3M6922 labels are used when high durability and excellent resistance to peak application temperatures are required.
Durability: The acrylic film provides outdoor weather resistance, UV protection, and resistance to many solvents while remaining dimensionally stable.
Legibility: The matte white facestock creates excellent contrast, resulting in high first-read rates, even for high-density barcodes.
Ease of Use: A thinner adhesive layer and double-sided siliconized liner allow for easy converting and dispensing while maintaining excellent adhesion properties.
Temperature Range: Heat resistance spans a wide range from -40°C to 300°C. However, the endurance duration depends on the specific temperature range.
Printability
3M3922 high-temperature label paper is recommended for screen printing processes using compatible inks from suppliers such as Wiederhold, Marabu, etc. Both UV-curable and solvent-based inks are suitable.
Sheet-fed screen printing should be evaluated based on actual dimensions and conditions. Flexographic, letterpress, and offset printing methods may be considered but must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Application
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and at an ambient temperature above 10°C.
3M3922 high-temperature label paper was specifically developed for application on smooth surfaces.
